Baby News!!!

Well, Cathy went to the doctor today...sadly I could not go with her due to getting NO sleep yesterday and the Rooms To Go people came and set up the furniture so I had to be up for that (I sleep during the day since I work the night shift). But it was a very informal visit, she met with the doctor for a few minutes. She was also given another sonogram in which she actually got to see the baby move, which she was very excited for. I will be uploading the sonogram later today as I am at work while typing this and have no access to a scanner other than at home. Her next appointment is not until April...this will be when we find out the sex of the baby!! Exciting!

As mentioned before, the Rooms To Go people came and delivered our new bed and bedframe, which is huge by the way, it takes up a good portion of the middle of the room. I will post pictures of that as well, later today.

Well, that was my day in a nut shell...I'll continue to update when I can!

Alright...the Blog is back and it's going to be better than ever!

I've gotten a few requests to get the blog up and running again due to Cathy being prego and what not...so I will try my hardest *knocks on wood* to keep it updated!

As some of you may already know, Catherine is pregnant with my little man (lol, I hope it's a boy...but I'll settle for a healthy beautiful baby) ...she's in her 3rd month now and the morning sickness and the sickness in general has pretty much subsided for now.

We have begun to piece together the nursery (our third bedroom) and recently bought these rubber/soft material puzzle pieces that you put down on the floor...the room looks really nice so far. I cleared space for the crib and the changing table already and now all we really need is a rocker and a small dresser.

Anywho...

oh yea, Cathy and I also just purchased a new mattress and bed frame from Rooms 2 Go...it's a really nice mattress, supposed to be top of the line, and the bedframe is amazing...I'll post some pictures when they come and put together the bad boy.

Alright, that seems to be it for now...like I said, I will try my hardest to update this thing as often as I can...which might be more often now that I'm on the midnight shift, lol. I know, I should be arresting bad guys and what not...but really, that gets tiresome...sometimes.

laters...

Fourth of July...

Well, 4th of July went off without a hitch....went off with a boom...get it, boom...??

Anyways, I had to work most of the day (7a-7p) but as soon as I got off I headed to Dawn and Hugo's house (Cathy's parents) where Cathy and Rebecca were. The 4th was also Dawn's birthday, I won't reveal how old she is...pretty sure it's like 27 or something, lol. They cooked out, hamburgers and hotdogs...had some watermelon and birthday cake. It was a good time. As soon as it got dark though, we headed out side to shoot off some fireworks that Cathy had bought earlier that day.

It was a good time, spending the 4th at work, not so much...but I made good money so it was worth it, HAHA!

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and hope every one stayed safe!

WALL-E/Dawm's Broken Ankle

This past weekend Rebecca and I (Cathy was working) went to the movie theaters to see "WALL-E" the new Disney-Pixar movie about a lonely garbage robot who is the only one left on Earth. It was great, probably the best that Pixar has done since Toy Story and that's saying a lot. Rebecca also really enjoyed but she couldn't stop talking through the movie...we'll have to work on that.

After the movie I got a call from Cathy's mother, Dawn, in which she told me she thought she broke her ankle. Being the only one in town that was able to go pick her up and take her to an Acute Care Clinic, Rebecca and I picked her up and took her to get her ankle checked out. Low and behold, her ankle was fractured and she has to be in a walking boot for the next six weeks. Get better soon Dawn!

Two mother's with two broken ankles.....crazy!

Wii Fit, How about you?

With America becoming more and more obese, Cathy and I got to thinking...we don't want to end up obese and we don't want Rebecca to be obese either (Although it seems like the trendy thing to do). So we purchased a Wii Fit.

If you do not know what the Wii Fit is, here's a little back info for you. In 2006, the Nintendo company came out with the Nintendo Wii, an intuitive gaming console that was designed to get the gamer off the couch and involved in the game.

The Wii is not operated by your standard game controller. Instead it's a remote with an attachment called the "Nunchuck" which plugs into the "Wiimote". It's operated by an infra-red laser that allows you to point at the screen with accuracy. Anyways, last week (5/19 to be exact) Nintendo took the Wii one step further into the future.

The Wii fit is designed to make exercising and working out fun. It comes with a what's called the Wii Balance Board which is like a very high tech scale. It calculates your BMI (Body Mass Index) and weight. It then calculates a work out regime for you which involves Cardio exercises, Yoga, Aerobics, Balance games which work on your center of balance and posture. It also has jogging and running where you can interact like you were actually running through a park, etc;.

Well, needless to say this was a huge hit when it came out last week, so much in fact that it was sold virtually in every store here in Gainesville that was carrying it. So, after needless searching and searching for two to three days I decided to try my luck on Ebay. Now, mind you, this retails at $90.00 in store. Well, I found one last week for $100.00 which included shipping so it was basically the same price. I bid on it and I won it.

Today I received my Wii Fit and I was kindof giddy. I mean, I like video games just as much as the next 21 year old but this was different. It was excited to see just how this new invention would work and how it would change my perspective of the video game world. It succeeded and then some. Cathy and I worked out for about an hour tonight and were both exhausted afterwards.

I highly recommend everyone run out and support our Japanese brethren and buy a Wii and Wii Fit....now.
